POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the supervision of the Data Operations Manager, this position provides data entry, gift processing, and database reporting in support of a wide range of fundraising and publicity activities for the Development Department. The Data Processor understands and assists in meeting the mission, service, and budget goals of Jewish Family and Children’s Services and works within the limitations of the Agency’s resources and performs all duties in compliance with agency standards.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

  • Salary Range: $60,000-$65,000
  • Employment Type: Full-time, non-exempt position with benefits
  • Hybrid working schedule

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Accurately enters detailed gift information, donor information, gift history, notes, and prospective donor and supporter contact information in the respective database(s) utilized by the department
  • Generates and edits merged donor acknowledgment letters and assures timely distribution of both letters and tribute cards, including all appropriate inserted and affixed materials
  • Reviews and determines when acknowledgment documents need special acknowledgments and passes them along to the appropriate party
  • Coordinates printing, signing, and mailing of acknowledgement letters in a timely manner
  • Generates routine and ad-hoc reports from the fundraising database as requested
  • Performs a variety of tasks to support implementation of the Agency’s principal fundraising, including, annual giving, special events, the endowment program, and capital campaigns
  • Makes duplicate copies of documents, as assigned, files and distributes (hard copies and digital copies)
  • Assists with file system maintenance and inventory and performs general administrative and operational duties within the department
  • Supports and ensures overall data health by reviewing and updating data as directed
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Data Operations Manager

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A minimum of two years of experience in data processing in a high-volume data entry environment and accurate keying of data is required.
  • Must have intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word and Excel, especially templates and merges.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or other fundraising database software desirable
  • Develops trust and credibility by following through tasks and commitments, creates a shared responsibility among team members by involving them in critical discussions and collaborations as appropriate.
  • Excellent organizational skills and precise attention to detail is essential.
  • Ability to work independently and responsibly with general direction; excellent judgment required.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, and to respond flexibly and resourcefully to the workload fluctuations inherent in the position.
  • Understands the importance of the role within the department and the organization, is reliable and dependable
