Emergency Family Assistance

Helping members of our community with basic survival during times of crisis is our highest priority. Our goal is to help people regain and maintain their self-sufficiency and independence.

JFCS offers short-term loans and grants to Jewish residents of the Bay Area to help them meet basic living expenses, such as food, housing, medical care, and other vital necessities. Last year, thousands of families were given emergency assistance to help them weather a personal or family crisis and get back on their feet.

Comprehensive Case Management

Our assistance does not stop there. As part of a comprehensive case-management plan, we work with individuals and families to create budgets and plans that help them to regain self-sufficiency.
