Distributions from the Kay Family Marin Outreach Fund are used to increase the visibility of Jewish Family and Children’s Services in Marin County so that local residents can become fully aware of the wide range of services our agency offers.
This is the second JFCS Named Endowment Fund established by Barbara and Barry Kay and their daughters, Julie and Jenna. Their first endowment fund honors the memory of Barbara’s parents. The family chose to dedicate the Kay Family Marin Outreach Fund in honor of JFCS staff and volunteers—past, present and future—who, by sharing their expertise and caring and by meeting continually changing needs, have greatly improved the quality of life within the Marin community.
As a JFCS Board member, Barbara co-chaired JFCS’ Marin Expansion Project. That experience demonstrated to her the importance of increasing awareness of the agency’s services and its importance to the community. Through the Kay Family Marin Outreach Fund, the family is doing just that, helping to make JFCS “household word” throughout Marin County.
