After Boulder and DC: How We Support Ourselves and Each Other
  • JFCS News

We are heartbroken by the attack on the Jewish community in Boulder this past Sunday and by the deadly shootings in Washington, DC that claimed two lives. These violent acts are part of an alarming rise in antisemitism, and a painful reminder of what happens when hate goes unchecked.

Fight Antisemitism Through Education

The long term solution to the hatred we face is to change what children are taught in our society. JFCS is doing just that.

The JFCS Holocaust Center is a recognized leader in Holocaust and genocide education. We offer trusted resources and custom programs to help schools and organizations respond to antisemitism with strength, knowledge, and empathy.

We encourage you to:

Connect with Jewish Community

This is a moment to help Jewish children associate their identity with pride, not fear. Through JFCS’ Jewish Baby Network and YouthFirst programs, families can connect with Jewish community and find joy in shared traditions.

JFCS’ Center for Children and Youth also offers expert support for how to talk to your children about antisemitism and traumatic events, youth mental health services, and programs for Jewish families.

JFCS has been here to care for our Bay Area community for 175 years, and we are here for you and your family. Always.
