- Domestic Violence Prevention
By the time Diana was referred to JFCS by her synagogue, she and her children were homeless. They fled home after the children were physically abused by their father, and they had nowhere safe to go.
JFCS’ Dream Program provides tailored support to families like Diana’s because of the generosity of donors who give through endowment and unrestricted funds. Clients appreciate how JFCS is able to address their unique situations with personalized solutions.
In Diana’s case, that meant everything from parent coaching and counseling through JFCS’ Center for Children and Youth, to guidance navigating family court, to arranging repairs when her car was broken into. Today, Diana’s children are doing well in school and Diana is working toward a college degree with dreams of becoming a social justice attorney. JFCS is helping to furnish their new home.
We have been there every step of the way, and we celebrate with Diana and her children as they move into their safe new life.
If someone you know is experiencing Domestic Violence, call JFCS at 415-449-1212 for professional advice on how to guide them toward help and support.
