ADHC/CBAS Program Director

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the supervision of the L’Chaim Administrator, the L’Chaim Program Director provides leadership and oversight for the L’Chaim Adult Day Health Center, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centered care in full compliance with ADHC/CBAS regulations and agency standards. This role directs program operations, supervises interdisciplinary staff and volunteers, manages compliance and quality initiatives, and supports the physical, mental, and social well-being of participants.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

  • Salary Range: $90,000 – $115,000 (depending on experience)
  • Employment Type: full-time, exempt with benefits

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operate the center in compliance with all applicable ADHC/CBAS program rules specified in the Health and Safety Code (HSC), Welfare and Institutions Code (WIC), Title 22 of the California Code of Regulations (CCR), the 1115 Waiver, and the Home and Community-Based Settings Rule of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR)
  • Meet all requirements of contracting managed care plans for credentialing, contract compliance, and quality assurance
  • Fulfill the leadership role of Program Director as defined in Title 22, CCR Sections 54405, 78087, 78417, and other relevant program rules
  • Ensure the center’s physical plant and operations comply with all health and safety standards, including readiness for regulatory inspections conducted by the California Department of Aging (CDA) and the California Department of Public Health (CDPH)
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the physical, mental, and social needs of elderly and functionally impaired adults
  • Evaluate participants’ changing needs on an ongoing basis through observation, chart review, and direct communication with the interdisciplinary team
  • Oversee the development and implementation of Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) care plans in full compliance with Title 22, ensuring care plans are individualized, measurable, and reflective of the participant’s current condition and treatment goals
  • Assist the Administrator with the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of professional and support staff. Provide direct supervision to the center’s clinical and program team, including RNs, MSWs, PTs, OTs, Activities Coordinator, RD, Psychiatric Nurse, and Speech Therapist, and indirect supervision to social work assistants, program aides, and administrative staff
  • Ensure participants receive individualized care plans that reflect their personal goals, health needs, and preferences; Maintain high levels of participant satisfaction through proactive communication, timely issue resolution, and responsiveness to client and family feedback

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least two years of management or supervisory experience; or Master’s degree with at least one year of such experience; or Registered Nurse with two years of management experience
  • Russian proficiency required
  • Familiarity with Federal, State, and local regulations and reporting requirements that govern ADHC/CBAS centers, with proven ability to navigate and ensure compliance
  • Comprehensive understanding of the physical, psychological, and social needs of elderly and functionally impaired adults, with a demonstrated ability to apply this knowledge in a professional setting
