YouthFirst College Program Assistant (September 2025-May 2026)
AGENCY OVERVIEW:
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Youth Program Manager, the YouthFirst College Program Assistant helps with all aspects of the YouthFirst programming. The YF College Program Assistant understands and assists in meeting budget and services goals, understands the mission and objectives of Jewish Family and Children’s Services, and works within the limitations of the Agency’s resources and performs all duties in compliance with agency standards.

- Pay Range: $21/hour (September 2025 start date and ends in May 2026)

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Outreach to local schools, Jewish organizations, youth groups, and synagogues to identify students who could benefit from participation in YouthFirst programs
- Maintains regional database and disseminates information to prospective participants and community partners
- Creates outreach materials/social media content for YouthFirst programs
- Builds and maintains relationships with key contacts at YSOs in the local community, including synagogues, schools, Jewish Community Centers, and Jewish summer camps
- Delivers programs, in accordance with program standards, including planning activities, working with teens and community partners, managing logistics, and following up to ensure smooth operations
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Current college student is required

Must be flexible in schedule and is able to work weekends and evenings, as required

Must be able to work in the regional office one day a week

Previous 1-year experience working with youth, and the issues that affect them (academic support, career exploration, service learning, leadership) is highly preferred

Must be engaging and promote a positive environment within the youth program
