Lydia and Doug Shorenstein

The JFCS Holocaust Center helps raise the next generation of morally courageous and socially responsible youth. To make this promise a reality, Lydia and Doug Shorenstein founded the Preisler Shorenstein Institute. Celebrating its 13th coming-of-age year, the Institute has become a national model and its signature program—the Annual Day of Learning—brings together teens from hundreds of public and private high schools, giving true meaning to the words “one world, one family.”
