JFCS VOLUNTEERS DELIVERED MORE THAN 1,000 PASSOVER CARE PACKAGES
Over 200 new JFCS volunteers have delivered more than 1,000 Passover Care Packages full of Seder foods and pantry essentials to homebound seniors, people with disabilities, and families.
Larry, age 87, said:
“I was so thankful and grateful to receive the Passover Care Package at my door. Thank you for everything you have done for me and for the Jewish community throughout the years.”
There is still time to help before Passover begins. Donate a Passover Care Package now.
NO-INTEREST LOANS AND GRANTS
As businesses and community organizations continue to close down operations, JFCS is providing no-interest loans and grants to those in financial need. We are also delivering food from our five JFCS Food Banks throughout the Bay Area.
Eddy, aged 75 and living with Parkinson’s disease, is one of thousands of JFCS clients who was left with no food in the house. JFCS immediately responded with weekly groceries to ensure that Eddy will have enough to eat.
Sarah, a young single mother of six-year-old twins, achieved her lifelong dream three years ago when she opened a neighborhood flower shop. Forced to shut the doors last week, Sarah had to lay off both of her employees. She lost everything that she had worked so hard to achieve. JFCS is providing a vital no-interest emergency loan, as well as counseling to help her cope with anxiety and loss and to plan for the future.
Funds are urgently needed to provide these vital services to our community members most in need.
We will leave no one alone in their darkest hour.
Thank you for your donations of food, love, time, expertise and money. The generous spirit of this amazing community gives real meaning to the words “Jewish Community.”
Looking forward to better days together,
