JFCS Food Bank
JFCS Food Banks offers nutritious, high-protein food to seniors on fixed incomes, adults with disabilities, young families with low incomes, and others individuals and families facing temporary crises.
A Food Bank is located in each of our offices in the five counties we serve: San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, and Marin and Sonoma Counties.
As the economy has put more of our community at risk of hunger, we have heightened our efforts to reach those in need. We have been aided by our friends, who have helped to keep our banks’ shelves well stocked with nourishing goods, including
- peanut butter
- hearty soups
- canned meat and fish
- canned vegetables and fruits
- whole grains and cereals
We also seek donations of toiletries and personal hygiene items.
Direct contributions of food, toiletries and personal hygiene items can be brought to the JFCS nearest you.
For those who do not have time to shop, but want to ensure that all who are hungry can eat, we welcome your online donation. A $50 gift will feed a single person for a week, $200 will allow that individual to eat well for a month, and $500 will buy groceries for a single-parent family for a month: Donate online today>
