Dollinger FamilyThe Dollinger Family Fund will provide a perpetual source of support for individuals and families in need of critical assistance.

The Dollinger Family Fund was established in the summer of 2004 in celebration of Marci and Marc Dollinger’s 10th wedding anniversary. Marci, who hails from Memphis, Tennessee, and San Francisco-born Marc married on July 3, 1994. The family, who moved to Marin from Los Angeles in 2002, includes two daughters—Rebecca, who at age 8 had just completed the second grade at Brandeis Hillel when this fund was created in 2004—and Shayna, then 4 and a preschooler at the Jewish Community Center. Marc is a professor of Jewish Studies at San Francisco State University, while Marci serves as a Jewish family educator.

Marc, Marci, Rebecca, and Shayna’s mutual interests include traveling throughout the world; spending quality time with one another and friends; and putting their values of tzedakah (“charity”), the joy of being Jewish, education, and family and friendship into everyday practice. They are pleased to share both a favorite saying and a favorite recipe:

One Hundred Years from Now

It will not matter what kind of car I drove,
What kind of house I lived in,
How much money I had in my bank account,
Nor what my clothes looked like.
But the world may be a little better
Because I was important in the life of a child.
