Opportunities for Holocaust Survivors
Volunteer members of the William J. Lowenberg Survivor Speakers Bureau visit schools and other community venues throughout the Bay Area to provide moving and memorable accounts of their lives before, during, and after the Holocaust. Speakers Bureau programs run Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 4:00 pm, with special events occasionally on Sundays.

Opportunities for Adults
Adult volunteers are needed to provide transportation to local survivors and assistance during the academic program. Volunteers need a clean driving record and access to a personal vehicle.

Opportunities for Teens
Next Chapter Project enables high school students’ profound connections to the Holocaust. Participating students interview a Holocaust survivor and document their oral histories in a written essay. Students are awarded 40 hours of community service and create a special relationship with a local survivor. An application is required.
