Calling all b'nai mitzvah youth: here’s your chance to learn the meaning and role of tzedakah and giving back to the community!
Team Tzedek is a community service volunteer program for b’nai mitzvah preteens and teens (6th, 7th, and 8th graders) and their families. This popular program complements religious and day-school curricula, and is designed for youth from diverse congregations.
Working as a team, students participate in hands-on mitzvah projects while learning about our community’s needs. Team Tzedek launches a new schedule of fun and worthwhile activities each fall. Projects include Hanukkah holiday visits to seniors, preparing meals for people with chronic illnesses and disabilities, helping to renovate a low-income client’s home, and many other hands-on service opportunities.
