JFCS continues to provide assistance in reparations applications to Holocaust survivors who may qualify for:
Ghetto Compensation Fund – Ghetto survivors may be eligible for a new one-time payment of 2,000 euros (about $2,500) for “non-coerced” work while living in Holocaust-era ghettos.
Leningrad Survivor Assistance – Hardship fund payments are now approved for survivors of the Nazi siege of Leningrad. A one-time disbursement of 2,556 euros (about $3,000) may be paid to certain Jewish victims of the Nazi siege of Leningrad who meet the eligibility criteria.
Article 2 Fund – New criteria provide expanded eligibility for ongoing compensation to qualified victims who are not receiving payments from the German fund known as the BEG and were confined for six months or more in camps or 18 months in hiding or under false identity.
