Seniors

Each year, more than 14,000 older adults in the Bay Area benefit from JFCS' senior programs. They and their families know that at JFCS, they will receive the care, attention, and services that will allow them to remain healthy, active, and independent for as long as possible.

JFCS' many highly regarded programs for seniors, including Seniors•At•Home, L'Chaim Adult Day Health Center, and Holocaust Survivor Services, address our clients' practical, emotional, physical, and spiritual needs, whether they be transportation, grocery shopping, mental-health services, financial assistance, or medical care.

In addition to our multidisciplinary team of professionals, JFCS has close to 2,000 active volunteers, many of whom work directly with seniors. Our volunteers deliver meals to homebound seniors, visit clients through our Volunteer Companion Program, drive them to appointments, and perform many other vital tasks that brighten and add meaning to people's lives.
