Legacy Study Tour 2012

A Multi-Generational Journey
Through East-Central Europe to Israel
June 25 – July 11, 2012

Berlin WallJoin us in an amazing journey of discovery for adults as well as for high school and college students. Learn more about Jewish history, the Holocaust, and vibrant Israeli society on this trip of a lifetime. We will visit impressive new museums and memorials in Berlin; walk the silent paths of Auschwitz-Birkenau with a Holocaust survivor; celebrate a joyful Shabbat in the historic Jewish neighborhood of Krakow; and enjoy life in Jerusalem.

High school students will be joined by a select group of college students who will help lead this exciting educational journey. Participation is open to students of all backgrounds, and scholarships are available. The student and adult groups will be traveling on separate, but parallel itineraries with special opportunities for conversations across the generations. The arrangements will be conducive to families (with children at the 10th grade level or older) wishing to travel together or adults traveling independently.

Morgan Blum, Director of Education, JFCS Holocaust Center, and Lehrhaus Judaica’s Rabbi and Senior Educator, Peretz Wolf-Prusan, will lead the study tour.
