Meaningful experiences during adolescence can prove life-changing. A trip to Israel, where Jewish youth might meet, for the first time, cousins who survived the Holocaust, can alter the way they think about history and identity. Three weeks at a summer camp, where youth are immersed in Jewish culture and learning, can ignite in them a passion for Jewish self-expression. A summer internship at JFCS, where young people are fully engaged in serving the community, can cement a commitment to lifelong tzedakah.
At JFCS, we believe in supporting youth who seek such experiences, as well as families who want their Jewish children to benefit from them. They, and we, know that positive exposure to Jewish values at an early age can lead to a lifelong commitment to our community--an enduring value at JFCS.
