Mental Health

Immigrating to a new culture is always a challenge, even under the best of circumstances. And sometimes, family problems, worries about children, or personal feelings of sadness and loss can be overwhelming, making it more difficult to look for work, learn English, or maintain good family relationships.
Are you experiencing any or all of the following:

  • Feelings of loneliness?
  • Difficulty finding your place among family and friends?
  • Trouble concentrating?
  • Anxiety about the future?
  • Sleeplessness?
  • Loss of appetite?
  • Lack of energy?
  • Fear or panic?
  • Sadness?
  • Lack of motivation?

If so, JFCS’ comprehensive bilingual clinical services can help. For students with adjustment problems at school, couples experiencing marital stress, people who have been unemployed so long they’ve given up hope, or older adults who may feel lonely and depressed, JFCS’ Russian-speaking licensed clinical social workers, psychologists, and psychiatrists are available. Call us if you have questions or if you or someone in your family needs help.
