JFCS' Legal Services Department has helped thousands of refugees and immigrants from various countries become U.S. citizens. We help in the following ways:
JFCS offers assistance with the preparation and filing of Form N-400, Application for Naturalization, in monthly group processing sessions led by a qualified, knowledgeable citizenship caseworker.
JFCS provides individualized legal counseling for clients applying for Exceptions to English / Civics Examination Requirements, as well as for clients who have particular legal concerns regarding the citizenship application process. The JFCS attorney is also available to accompany clients to their naturalization interviews.
Ongoing citizenship classes:
Individual volunteer tutoring for USCIS interview is available for clients. Registration forms are available at the JFCS Emigre Department on Judah Street.
