Community United Against Violence

Community United Against Violence (CUAV) is a 20-year old multicultural organization working to end violence against and within LGBTQ communities. CUAV offers a 24-hour confidential, multilingual support line, free counseling, legal advocacy, and emergency assistance to survivors of domestic violence, hate violence, and sexual assault. CUAV uses education as a violence prevention tool through the speakers bureau, the youth program, and the domestic violence prevention program.

Legal Services for Children

Provides free legal advice and representation to youth under18. Conducts community education and "Know Your Rights" training on the legal rights and options of LGBTQ youth at home, in school, and on their own. Health Initiatives for Youth (HIFY)

HIFY works to improve the health and well-being of young people (12 ? 25 years old) of all communities, advocating for and with youth at local, state and national levels to address HIV issues, preventative health education and comprehensive health care access. Trainings for youth and their providers are available on a wide range of topics from HIV, mental health, substance use, youth sexuality and adolescent development. Workshops for youth include substance use, anti-homophobia, self-esteem, body image and youth empowerment.

Lyon-Martin Women?s Health Services

An all-women medical facility that provides general medical and gynecological care to women of all ages, with a special sensitivity to the needs of transgendered persons, lesbians and bisexual women. Provides treatment for non-acute general health problems, chronic health problems, reproductive care including birth control, pregnancy testing, family planning, minor surgical procedures, dermatology and Premenstrual Syndrome (PMS) counseling. AIDS services include education and information, free anonymous HIV testing and counseling, free or low-cost care for HIV positive women and support groups for HIV positive lesbians and their partners.
