Anna and Charles Stockwitz Children and Youth Fund

General Purpose: To assist Jewish children and teens with a valuable educational, social, or psychological experience, or to assist them in attending undergraduate school (grants and loans)
Average Amount Per Year: Maximum $6,000 award (grant, loan or both)
Criteria: For grants: Jewish; financial need.

For loans: Jewish; able to provide qualified guarantors (co-signers) that reside in the Bay Area.

Geographic Limitations: San Francisco, Peninsula, Marin and Sonoma Counties for grants; San Francisco Bay Area for loans
Age Limitations: None
 

Butrimovitz Family Endowment Fund for Jewish Education

General Purpose: To provide shcolarships to individuals in need who wish to pursue traditional Jewish education in the context of a Jewish day school, undergraduate, or graduate school setting
Average Amount Per Year: Maximum $500
Criteria: Financial need; Jewish
Geographic Limitations: San Francisco, San Mateo, Marin and Sonoma Counties
Age Limitations: None
 

David, Nancy, and Liza Cherney Scholarship Fund

General Purpose: To provide annual scholarships to enable girls to go to college
Average Amount Per Year: Maximum $100
Criteria: Financial need; Jewish
Geographic Limitations: San Francisco, San Mateo, Marin and Sonoma Counties
Age Limitations: None
 

DeHovitz-Senturia Campership Fund

General Purpose: To provide grants to provide a Jewish summer camp experience to children
Average Amount Per Year: Maximum $600
Criteria: Financial need; Jewish; referral from JFCS caseworker
Geographic Limitations: San Francisco, San Mateo, Marin and Sonoma Counties
Age Limitations: 26 or younger
 

Esther Shiller Memorial Endowment Loan Fund for College Loans

General Purpose: To provide college loans for Jewish men and women who demonstrate academic promise, financial need, and ability to repay them
Average Amount Per Year: Maximum $6,000
Criteria: Jewish; able to provide qualified guarantors (co-signers)
Geographic Limitations: San Francisco, San Mateo, northern Santa Clara, Marin, Sonoma, Alameda and Contra Costa Counties
Age Limitations: None
 

Fogel Loan Fund

General Purpose: To provide loans to help individuals of all ages for college, university, or vocational studies.
Average Amount Per Year: Maximum $6,000
Criteria: Jewish; able to provide qualified guarantors (co-signers)
Geographic Limitations: San Francisco, San Mateo, northern Santa Clara, Marin, Sonoma, Alameda and Contra Costa Counties
Age Limitations: None
 

Harry and Florence Wornick Endowment Fund

General Purpose: To provide loan funds to provide Jewish students with higher education or vocational training, with special consideration to students pursuing careers in the use of wood, or careers in music
Average Amount Per Year: Maximum $5,800 per student
Criteria: Jewish; able to provide qualified guarantors (co-signers)
Geographic Limitations: San Francisco, San Mateo, northern Santa Clara, Marin, Sonoma, Alameda and Contra Costa Counties
Age Limitations: None
 

Henry and Tilda Shuler Scholarship Fund for Young People

General Purpose: To provide scholarships for youths for vocational training, college education, or other studies
Average Amount Per Year: Maximum $950
Criteria: Financial need; Jewish
Geographic Limitations: San Francisco, San Mateo, Marin and Sonoma Counties
Age Limitations: 26 or younger
 

Jacob Rassen Memorial Scholarship

General Purpose: To provide annual scholarships to Jewish boys or girls under age 22 for an Israel study trip
Average Amount Per Year: Maximum $1,900
Criteria: Financial need; Jewish
Geographic Limitations: San Francisco, San Mateo, Marin and Sonoma Counties
Age Limitations: 22 or younger
 

Kaminer Family Fund

General Purpose: To provide grant funds to provide a Jewish summer camp experience to children; grants may be made for such general and specific purposes as camperships, counseling, and supportive services
Average Amount Per Year: Maximum $475
Criteria: Financial need; Jewish
Geographic Limitations: San Francisco, San Mateo, Marin and Sonoma Counties
Age Limitations: 26 or younger
 

Lillian Fried Scholarship Fund

General Purpose: To provide scholarships for deserving women to pursue collegiate or graduate studies
Average Amount Per Year: Maximum $130
Criteria: Financial need; Jewish
Geographic Limitations: San Francisco, San Mateo, Marin and Sonoma Counties
Age Limitations: None
 

Miriam S. Grunfeld Scholarship Fund

General Purpose: To provide annual grants to educate young people who otherwise would not be able to fulfill their educational aspirations
Average Amount Per Year: Maximum $950
Criteria: Financial need; Jewish
Geographic Limitations: San Francisco, San Mateo, Marin and Sonoma Counties
Age Limitations: 26 or younger
 

Rozsi and Jeno Zisovich Jewish Studies
Scholarship Fund to Teach the Holocaust

General Purpose: To provide scholarships to help Jewish or non-Jewish students who hope to pursue careers which will include teaching the Holocaust to future generations to pursue collegiate and/or graduate studies in Holocaust education
Average Amount Per Year: Amount varies
Criteria: Financial need; Jewish
Geographic Limitations: San Francisco, San Mateo, Marin and Sonoma Counties
Age Limitations: None
 

Selig Fund

General Purpose: To provide college loans
Average Amount Per Year: Maximum $6,000
Criteria: Jewish; able to provide qualified guarantors (co-signers) 
Geographic Limitations: San Francisco, San Mateo, northern Santa Clara, Marin, Sonoma, Alameda and Contra Costa Counties
Age Limitations: None
 

Stanley Olson Youth Scholarship

General Purpose: Scholarship to assist Jewish youth in attending graduate or undergraduate school in pursuit of the study of Liberal Arts
Average Amount Per Year: Maximum $2,500
Criteria: Financial need; Jewish
Geographic Limitations: San Francisco, San Mateo, Marin and Sonoma Counties
Age Limitations: 26 or younger
 

Vivienne Camp College Scholarship Fund

General Purpose: To provide annual college or vocational school scholarships to two young Jewish men and two young Jewish women attending an institution in California who demonstrate academic achievement, promise, and financial need
Average Amount Per Year: Maximum $4,350
Criteria: Financial need; Jewish
Geographic Limitations: San Francisco, San Mateo, Marin and Sonoma Counties
Age Limitations: None
