Parent Coaching and Consultation
Parents Place offers individual parent and family coaching and consultation services. If you have concerns or questions about your child's development, interactions, or behavior, one or more one-on-one meetings with one of our Parent Educators can help. Our expert staff will spend quality time with you in order to assess, plan and recommend the best options for your situation. For more information or to schedule a consultation, call Karen Friedland-Brown (650) 688-3032 or e-mail KarenFB@jfcs.org.
Early Childhood Mental Health Consultation
Parents Place provides on-site consultation to preschools, early childhood centers, schools, synagogues, summer camps, and other organizations serving children. Through consultation and training, educators learn to detect problems in development, learning, and socialization so they can provide appropriate and timely interventions for children at risk. Services include: consultation to administrators, consultation to teachers and other staff, consultation to parents, information on resources, referral to services, and follow-up, and staff in-service training.
