Biography Marin-based Marion Weinreb, the child of Holocaust survivors and a consultant for the pharmaceutical and medical device industries, is a firm believer in "giving back." She does this in a variety of ways, including through her Named Continuity Funds at JFCS. The Weinreb Family Fund, Marion's first Named Continuity Fund, was established in 1996. In this way she honored her parents, who "came to the U.S. with nothing, yet they were both very generous." Her father, who had practiced dentistry in Poland, operated a grocery store in New Jersey and never hesitated to carry customers in need on credit, while her mother saved pennies to give to Israel. Marion never forgets that, although her family didn't have much in a material sense and although her parents had been severely traumatized by their concentration camp experience, they always gave freely back to others. Just as Marion and her family "made it" in America, her Fund gives many other emigres the same opportunity to make their dreams come true - today and in the generations to come.
