Purpose of the Fund

The Aaron Spector Take Me Out to the Ballgame Fund provides financial assistance to seniors in the Bay Area so that they have the opportunity to attend local sporting events.

Biography
Aaron Spector was a lifelong sports fan who loved going to see the Giants and 49ers play after he moved to San Francisco. Born December 19, 1918 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he served on the front line in World II, earning a combat medal and a Bronze Star. A dentist who valued honesty, hard work, education and family, Aaron filled his non-work hours by playing golf and rooting enthusiastically for the Phillies and Eagles. He had a smile for everyone; his cheerful, positive attitude sustained those around him. For his family it was wonderful to see Aaron take such pleasure in attending baseball and football games, where he could socialize with fellow fans, demonstrate his deep knowledge of the games and, for a little while, forget about growing older.

By paying for tickets, transportation, refreshments and other costs associated with attending sporting events, this Named Continuity Fund will allow Bay Area seniors to indulge their own "love of the game."
