Biography Susan's mother, Victoria Carsen, was a native New Yorker who maintained season tickets to a variety of cultural events until her death. Her many friends ensured that Victoria was able to get to the shows, concerts, restaurants and parties that she so enjoyed. Because they checked in frequently, picked up groceries and other necessities, and performed numerous other kindnesses, they greatly eased Susan's concerns about her mother's remaining at home until the end of her life. Because Victoria fought so determinedly to stay in her own home in spite of her age and disabilities, Susan created this memorial Fund to help ensure that other seniors in need of assistance can receive the comprehensive social services they require to lead equally independent and fulfilling lives.
