A Link to the Past
In the beginning, an immigrant named August Helbing and a group of young Gold Rush pioneers founded the Eureka Benevolent Society, 1850, and the Pacific Hebrew Orphan Asylum, 1872, to assist their neighbors in need. Through simple acts generosity, they created a legacy of caring that endures today as Jewish Family and Children's Services Permanent Endowment Fund and became the first members of our heritage circle.
Building for the Future
The JFCS Permanent Endowment Fund provides a promise for tomorrow-a promise to always provide critical services for the vulnerable and dependent in our community. When you make an endowment gift, you become a member of the JFCS Heritage Circle, the special group of visionary benefactors who enable the humanitarian work of JFCS to continue into the next century and beyond.
