Named Continuity Funds are a type of endowed fund (minimum contribution $2,500) which may be established to honor or memorialize a loved one. You may name the fund and choose an area of interest for how the fund's income will be spent annually. Named Funds are invested as part of The JFCS Permanent Endowment Fund, according to JFCS investment guidelines.

• You receive an immediate income tax deduction.
• You bypass capital gains taxes on long-term appreciated securities
• Upon maturity, the principal goes to JFCS directly and you avoid estate taxes.

Unrestricted
• Income may be used where it is needed most
• The most flexible type of fund, it allows Jewish Family and Children's Services to respond to emergencies or pressing needs

Special Purpose
• Income is designated for a particular project or target population which is meaningful to you or your loved ones
• Within the designated area, you may recommend the use of funds each year (i.e., if children's services is the special project designation, one year you may recommend money to be used for special tutors, another year for daycare subsidy, etc.)

Donor Recommended
• You may make recommendation of new program or target population for interest income disbursal each year
• This type of fund allows flexibility for your changing concerns

• You complete a Named Continuity Fund Agreement form and establishes the fund with a minimum gift of $2,500 or more in cash, securities or other assets
• A personalized Annual Report describing investment performance and use of the fund's proceeds is provided to you
• Upon request, announcements of the fund will be sent to your family and friends.
• Additional gifts of any amount may be contributed at any time

• Honor or memorialize a loved one
• Commemorate a special occasion
• Involve family members in giving together
• Ensure the continuation of a program or service of particular importance to them
• Build a significant gift over time
